*Tenor saxophonist DENNIS MITCHELTREE has performed with Kenny Werner, Gary Bartz, Jim McNeely, Charli Persip, Bob Moses and others. His quartet has been touring the U.S. and European jazz festivals, clubs and concert halls to critical acclaim. Mitcheltree's composition for jazz sextet and string quartet, 'Suite No. 1,' was presented at Carnegie Hall in 1995. His debut CD as a leader, Brooklyn, was released in 1996. A follow up CD for Altenburgh Records, Transformation, was released in 1998 and another, Union, is expected out in 2002. Mitcheltree has been a panelist for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Jazz Fellowship program and the Brooklyn Arts Council Regrant Program.
