Info:	Jonathan Dimond's latest CD: 'Journeys: People, Places' (JDR03) Jonathan Dimond's latest CD as a leader is a multi-national undertaking, uniting the talents of his old friends from 'Loops' in Brisbane with some of his new musician friends in Los Angeles. Assisted by the American Composers' Forum, the CD features Dimond's compositions dating from the time of his departure from Australia in 2002, through the following 3 years. Though based in Los Angeles, Dimond also spent time in Tokyo, Japan, and Amsterdam, Holland where new compositions were inspired. The result is an eclectic mix of jazz, fusion and world music, which is arranged in such a way that the CD really does take the listener on a journey from start to finish. Through Dimond's compositions and the artful improvisations of his band-mates, the listener gets a taste of a range of emotions associated with leaving places of familiarity, being excited with the new stimulus of foreign places, and experiencing the range of personalities of new people.
